Electrical Heated Mixing Equipment

10/09/2006 9:30 AM

Hi,

I want to make carbon paste by heating pitch and carbon powder of three different friction. This need a hot mixing where I can heat up the pitch and carbon powder at the same time carbon powder and pitch is mixed together. Heating temperature required is 300.C.I am looking for a electrical heated mixing equipment for 300 kg batch with heating cycle of 15 minutes. Any suggestion on electrical heated mixing equipment design?

Ishall be happy to design & manufacture the "hot mixer". Pl. send me the follwing details:

1. density of the mix.

2. how pasty it is; whether it is like solid dough, gum or clay.

3. the cycle time is 15 mtes. what is the production/day & no. of working hrs/day?

4. whether the hot mix. can be unloaded as such or it should be coolled down before unloading

tks. & regs.

Dear Mahadevan,

Sorry for delay in responding & Thank you for your reply. I have to make carbon paste made out of 75% carbon powder 200 mesh screen size (made out of calcined petroleum coke) added with solid pitch 25%.This has to be heated up to 200.C ,solid pitch after melting is mixed with carbon powder. This has to be uniform mixing. This hot mixed paste is send to press for shape forming.Bulk Dencity of pressed material/shaped material should be 1.68

This carbon paste I have to make 1.25 ton per hr X 8 hrs shift /day.

We can very well go with continuous process into an closed mixing chamber. Electrical heated. Please advice

I agree with JePe that a continuous processor will be best for this application. We use the Readco Kurimoto twin-screw system with great success. You may find the Readco unit will mix the ingredients efficiently enough to operate at a lower temperature.

Additionally we can supply the carbon powder and pitch pre-feeders as an integrated system. Please contact us for full specifications.

will be happy to help you to find the best efficient process.

Continuous process has to be considered; less manpower production cost.

less polution into an closed mixing chamber.

Better heating transfer to the material from barrels of the mixing chamber.

More mechanical heating.

Only if the raw material could feed continuously.

Waiting your detail spec for global process and equipment analyses

For this application, I am convince that the best economic and efficient solution is a continuous processor mixer located downstream a continuous powder feeders.

Many advantages compare to batch process. Listed later.

I could give you a detail technical specification of the equipment including budjet price.

To be able to contact the right licencee manufacter I would like to know where your company is located.

This type of mixer could be manufactured in US, In Japan or in france.

Your agreement to sent them detail of your request.

Waiting for your answer. Best regards,
