These specs do not sufficiently identify the valve.

Looks like Mfg, Size, Class, Body Style or Type, Mfg location.

Specifically describe the valve (examples) 2" brass pressure reducing valve or .375" Ball Valve or 12" Rising Stem, Cast Iron, Flanged, Gate and so on.

A little information on your plant is also necessary in order to give any suggestions.

A picture is worth a thousand words in situations such as this.

1. Globe Valve.

2 . Temperature Control Valve Body 2- way

3 . Temperature Control Valve Body 3-way.

intimate model no or photo to advice.

If its a ball valve 80mm fit it whichever fluid you like : Steam/Condensate/Hot Water/Compressed Air/Gas. It is already of 40 Bar pressure and an EXPENSIVE one when bought. Obviously in most fluids i mentioned the pressure will not be 40 bar application so what? It will do excellent in all application including 40 bar.

Sandeep in my Country there is a saying about Consultants, " for their piece of meat they will sacrifice your goat". In many places I've come across eg:

1 . 1" torr-bar instead 1/2" for Roofs.

2 . Road building - dumping & raising road level because job maesured in M3.

3 . Operating with 12 psi Boiler at a Coke plant because the bottle

washing requires 12 psi resulting in bigger dia steam mains & bigger valve sizes

plus 2" steam traps & condensate pumps .

The worst was Class 800 (psig) Forged Steel valves on steam headers & mains.

4. Ordering a bigger Boiler not needed.

These are part of the game left by others for you to inherit. Smile

I give you a GA for that one, I knew what the WCB meant, in the USA we would have called it 3", 600lb. WCB
