The term "interlock" can mean a lot of different things depending on the application. It could be mechanical, electrical, key operated, handle operated, trip operated, based on the On or the Off condition etc. etc. Better to describe everything you can about your application.

1) What is your intended purpose of the interlock? Please define purpose of the interlock provided.

2) If there is a problem in proper functioning of interlock circuit, the connections have to be checked and if there are problems these have to be corrected. Again, please define what problems you face.

a interlock is a interlock, there is nothing else to it really nominallly open\closed. But you could get a global interlock error if something else in the emergency stop circuit is not satisfied.

interlocks are always linked to the safety circuit, so link everything that needs to be linked to satisfy, and then work back from that, if u have schematics or u know when the interlock has to be open \ closed.

good luck

Inter-lock is an arrangement in Electrical Circuits Electrically or Mechanically coupled Safety Switches/ Devices in such a way that 1) either of devices work at a time.

as in Delta-Start-Y-Run Contactors in a Motor start cicuit

2) If an active Circuit is Swithed off \tripped, it can be switched on unimtentionally eg 1st to keep one button pressed to switch on.

There are much more like a device running to and fro & end-limit switches function to reverse automatically or to stop no-more movement furthe in the direction & you can only reverse it.
