hdd partion not shown in my computer

Others may correct me, but I think the problem may be cmos set up?

no dat's not the problem tell how i associate the drive to open directly by double click. in xp sp3

Right click on "My Computer", go to "Manage", then select "Disk Management" under Storage. If you have partitions that are active and readable, you should see them shown. At this point, you can assign available drive letters to those partitions. Good Luck, hope that helped.

Did you try the procedure I outlined above? If you see the partitions in "Disk Management", you will not be able to open them by double-clicking on them there, you are there to assign a drive letter, once that is done, exit the Disk Manager, and open File Explorer to browse your newly-assigned drive letter. If you see the partitions here, tell us what the "File System" and "Status" fields say.

Please try to be more specific about what you are seeing, it's very hard to diagnose a computer problem in this way, but even more difficult without all the details.

You either need to make the partition active using fdisk or something similar, or you need to format the partition.
