Texas-Sized Battle Over PE Qualifications

The Texas Society of Professional Engineers is joining with other professional societies to fight a legislative effort that aims to drop the use of qualifications-based selection for awarding design services contracts by state and local agencies. Sounds like they're fixin' for a fight.

Cheap labor.

I have a problem with trusting my life and my families life on roads built by the lowest bidder rather than one the most qualified.
You build roads cheaply and you get cheap roads.
