HR4000(Ocean Optics)RS-232 to PLC programming

We are experience problems talking between the HR4000 and an Omron PLC.

What we need is a few lines of code and some pointers to get us started and displaying the pixel data of the spectrum from the HR4000.

We would be grateful of any help in this respect.
