radiography test

what is radiography test ? and why it is done in fuel stroage tank i.e naptha & HSD tank? why it is done?purpose?

Radiography is commonly called X-Ray, and it's used to look at the welds to see if they have complete penetration. Any lack of penetration will result in a leak or future failure of the tank.

Radiography not only detects lack of penetration, but many other weld defects -
