transformer on power line

what does the red indicator light on the power line transformer mean when its lite up please be detailed.

Sounds like homework, but I'll take a shot.

Down in the mountains where I grew up, it would mean none of the "good ole boys" had driven by with a varmit rifle in his truck; else he would have shot it out.

In the rest of the world, it indicates an overload which may or may not have tripped the breaker.

The red light indicates that at sometime the transformer was overloaded. I would let the utility know. They may decide to reset the light and see if it happens again or they may change it to a larger size.
