HP9000 Server with HP-UX 9.0 Operating System

11/15/2008 3:58 AM

How can I access data from our HP9000 server having an HP-UX 9.0 OS using a PC with a Windows XP SP2 OS? The server has an AUI port.

Thanks

Assuming that both machines are on the same LAN, install SAMBA on the HP-UX server. http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8725AA Re the AUI port, this is a 15 pin D-type connection, you will have to get a transceiver - Google "aui rj45".

You have to have at least a file server run on the HP.
