Quality tools

Hi,

I'm eager to know about the seven quality tools used in industries for problem solvings.

Can anybody help me in this regard, So that i can have a knowledge on this.

Pls explain each tool with the example.

Are you referring to the Six Sigma tools?:

  1. Flow Chart
  2. Check Sheet
  3. Pareto Chart
  4. Cause-and-effect diagram (fishbone)
  5. Histogram
  6. Scatter Diagram
  7. Control Chart

If you are looking a Quality Tools used for problem solvings.

Can use 8D (8 Disciplinary Actions)

8D Steps;

1- Select the Team Members

2- Define the Problem

3- Define the Root Causes

4- Containment Action

5- Permanent Improvement Plan (short & long term actions)

6- Verify effectiveness of permanent corrective actions

7- Verification of Implemented Action to Prevent Reoccurrence

8- Congratulate Your Team!
