horse power

Dear members,

I had a doubt regarding horse power.One HP=746 watt ie a horse can pull 33000lb by 1 ft /min.If the load is pulled by two horses means what is the power.Will you please any one give answer...

The dimensions of power are the same as [force] x [velocity].

So 2hp = 66000ft.lb/min, or 1492W, near enough, and with very little doubt.

Depends on the type of horses and how long they have to pull. If we are talking about the definition of hp.

It has always been in disagreement whether a horse can obtain the 33000lb ft/min load.

Now if we are talking about two horse pulling a load. I would say it two horse power its is two horses!
