Considering Mfg.com

11/20/2008 11:48 AM

Is MFG.com worth the expense? I am looking into it not just for bidding opportunity but also for marketing leads for our manufacturing abilites within specific industries.

That is what I would like to find out. Have you had any involvement with mfg.com? What are the positives/negatives to using it?

So you get the opportunity to see business that is race to the bottom on price?

how exactly do you think they will add value?

The model of the supplier paying for opportunity to quote is backwards.

Their model increases your, the suppliers costs, all benefits of low price go to the end users. Why play in that sandbox?

I don't know any one who has anything positive to say about them.

Your bids will be right there against shops all over the world.

Do you believe in supplier / customer relationships? This is the opposite of this.

Just say no to parasite business model.

(The wall street people love it by the way, they bought in in amajor way. They recognize that it squeezes even more money out of the peasantclass- excuse me the supplier base.)

Let us know how it turns out for you.
