Some good choices depending on your intended Marine Loading Arm application or use are: W.R. Marine Loading LTD.; FMC Chicksan; EMCO Wheaton; Woodfield or CARBIS. This should give you a good start.

Can you give me information on the type of ship cargo, fishing trawler etc. The gross tonnage of the vessel, the maximuim load capacity or what load will it be required to lift (maximuim) what type of material is the vessel manufactured from e.g. steel, aluminium, timber or glasfibre. Where will the arm be mounted forward, midships or aft and where is the super structure situated.

I personally feel that you should e-mail a drawing of the vessel in concern so that I would be in a far better position to advise you or even better still form a safty point of view is that I design it for you and then supply a set of blue print drawings to you. you would then be able to get a engineering company in your aera to build it for you and possibly install it as well.

As a B Sc(marine eng)(Stell S.A.) this is the best advice I can give you to prevent an accident or even worse somebody being fataly injured due to incorrect design and possitioning on the vessels deck. another thing that needs to be taken into consideration is the strength of the deck and the amount and type of support under the deck. Please feel free to contact me as soon as you have all the relavant information? I will then assist you from there onwards.
