Believe it or not, you will get used to the noise. When I was at university in Boston, we rented a really inexpensive apartment, about 3 meters from the Red Line subway. When a train went by, like, every 2 minutes, the stuff on the kitchen table would literally rattle off and crash to the floor. After about 2 weeks, I got used to it, and would sleep through the whole thing. In fact, if a train was late, I'd wake up, I was so used to it.

You might be able to mask it with a little white noise. Try something that makes a gentle hiss. Some companies sell a device like this as a sleep aid. Just remember that too loud of a background noise for the long term causes hearing damage.

My daughter played drums at home for years. There are some things you can do. Close the windows, if you can. Hang heavy curtains and drapes. Rugs on the floors. Hang decorative rugs on the walls as decorations. Seal any openings you can. Good luck.

Treat the outer walls facing the outside (where your windows are) with Mass loaded vinyl. You can get it from Cyber-bridge-Marine.com. Attach the MLV sheets to the existing wall ( use double face tape 3M VHB) I you do not care for the brown color, place posters on it (make sure you do not puncture the MLV). If you wan it fancier, you can then place wall paper over it or if you want more acoustic insulation, then add sheet rock boards over the MLV. If you want to upgrade, then treat the opposite wall to the one you just treated. Use the same material). Next treat the other walls, next treat the ceiling. The above would the cheapest simplest most effective acoustic treatment. Add a reference noise generator i.e. air filter columns: Place these at each corner of the room(starting withe the wall opposite the 1st you treated. Face the air filters toward the center of the room. You can add additional filter columns to the other two corners of the room you are treating. Lastly, make sure your window glass is well insulated ( use neoprene clear caulking tubes for this)

For the windows, the caulking bead must be continues and without air bubbles trapped between the bid and the glass frame.

Hope this helps
