Dahlander Motor vs. VSDS

11/24/2008 3:53 AM

Hello everyone,

A client has bought a two speed Dahlander motor; 400V, 100kW/300kW. They also had the request that one set of three phase windings of the motor should be connected to a VSDS.

My question is now: can a Dahlander motor be connected to a VSDS and how?

Could anyone help me on this topic?

Regards,

You can connect you VSDS as usual. Dahlander switch will act like a two-speed gearbox.
