Tolerance Stackup Analysis for Automotive parts

How to start Tolerance stack up study of Automotive parts..?

Specially stack up analysis between Assemblies of Platics Trim Part & Sheet Metal Parts or Assemblier of plastic parts.

I don't know about India, but here:

First.... I hope you are fluent in GD&T. Because you won't only need to complete the stack-up, you will have to support your results against people who don't know GD&T but think they do.

Second.... I hope your fluent in GD&T. Because you won't only need to complete the stack-up, you will have to read the drawings typically done by people who don't know GD&T but think they do.

Third.... I hope your fluent in GD&T. Because you won't only need to complete the stack-up, you will have to explain it to production people who can't get past the 0 positional tolerance.

Fourth.... I hope your fluent in GD&T. Because you won't only need to complete the stack-up, you will have to endure the public attack from the "expert" who finds your one error in a 30 page report.

This all sounds very negative.... I must be having a bad morning.

hi,

I too working for a automotive industry. For simple understanding , tolerance stack up is finding the maximum and minmum clearance available between two or more parts.

Irrespective of the domain,the stack up calculation remains same.
