Why a gear box fitted to marine medium speed engine?

to give operator of vessel increased degrees of freedom in operations rather than limiting to Engines rpms and direction only by providing ameans to change the rpms and direction of the engines output.

2.How a ships propeller works?

as propeller rotates it produces thrust by the production of lift from the blades movement in the fluid medium and the fluid mediums incompressability. this thrust results in movement of the vessel to which the propeller and drive is attached

3) pass

4) punt

5.Hoe to remove a liner from a main engine-

I don't think so.

"How to detect a leaking lub oil coolers tube?"

Look for oil puddles. Trace where the surface is oily or greasy. Clean off with IPA or other similar solvents, and then smear the suspected area heavily with chalk dust. If the leak is originating from the suspected area, it will leave streaks in the chalk dust that can be used to trace the point of origin of the leak.

"What is toolbox talk?"

Usually a quick daily or weekly safety brief. Actual frequency depends upon labor regulations in your area.

3) Look or check for fluid contamination in both fluids.

5) Removing a liner from an engine is a very complex procedure. The procedure is governed by the engine manufacturer. Because you did not decide to tell us the manufacturer of the engine, you will need to contact the mystery engine manufacturer.
