Aluminum cable current capacity

In India we take standard cable rating as "ambient air temperature" as 40 deg C.

For buried cables the ground temperature is 30 deg C. Based on this two impotant parameters the cable manufacturers provide the rating tables in their catalogues. The single cable rating on above assumptions (along with depth of burial of 75 centimeters) pl find below the rating of PVC cables as under.

185 sqmm 240 Amps 235 Amps

200 sqmm - no such size is available in India - so sorry.

240 sqmm 280 Amps 275 Amps

300 sqmm 315 Amps 305 Amps.

You have to consider the rating/derating of above current value for different site conditions as well as method of installation.
