Extrusion: Twin Screw or Single ?

12/03/2008 4:41 AM

What is best for PET sheet extrusion, twin screw or long single ?

don't worry about drying material or screw vent.

What is bad on the twin screw and what is bad on the single screw ?

Thank you.

What is the width. I have seen 8 twin screw long barrels running to make sheeting.

Well, looking at the normal PET sheet extrusion market it will be ~ 0.2 - 1.5mm thick and ~ 600-1100mm width.
