Toshiba Lap Top Computer Driver Problem

12/06/2008 4:15 PM

I have a Toshiba, Series Tecra 8100, Model PT 810C-11C52 that I need a special vidio display driver for. I have installed Windows XP Home OS and found that I could not get a full screen display. I realized that Toshiba does not support Windoes XP on this computer so was unable to supply the driver that will provide the full screen display.

Is there someone that has been able to locate a driver that would provide a full screen display on this model of computer running on Windows XP Home .

The computer works otherwise works great on Windows XP Operating System.

Thanks in adance for any suggestions you may have : Howard

restore Vista. Then find the driver files and back them up, all of them on an external flash drive..

Then erase and install Xp, and install the drivers from the flash drive.

If the drivers are mutually compatible, this can work,

You probably wont even need to restore windows vista or anything. go to the toshiba website http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp# and click on download menu at the top of the webpage. you can enter your computer model number, etc and it will give you a bunch of drivers that your computer might need and even the updated ones. You will just need to reinstall the new driver and discard of the malfunctioning one.
