Can anybody suggest me any other Specialisation course or any other institute which can help me?

Hi,

If part-time BE is not available, you can do AMIE which is equivalent to BE. There are two sections for diploma finished candidates, namely, Section - A (Diploma Stream) and Section - B.

Section - A consists of four papers. They are

1. Fundamentals of Design and Manufacturing

2. Material Science and Engineering

3. Computer and Informatics

4. Society and Environment

and Section - B based on the discipline the candidate choose. For mechanical engineering, 6 papers are compulsory and 3 papers are optional which you can select from given papers. So you need to complete 9 papers totally to finish section B.

Compulsory Papers

1. Engineering Management

2. Mechanics of Solids

3. Mechanics of Fluids

4. Thermal Science and Engineering

5. Manufacturing Technology

6. Design of Machine Elements

To do this course, you first need to become "senior technician" of the institution of engineers society and you can write exams.

For more information, please visit this website http://www.ieindia.org/

or you can also contact your local centre

Rahul,

I am from Chennai, not from Pune. For your convenience, I have given the address of Pune local centre.

It is little bit difficult to finish AMIE, before five years there are two mathematics papers, so lot of candidates finds difficult to pass those papers. Now there are no mathematics papers in new scheme. It is easy rightnow to finish.

As you said, BE is easy to finish, but we need to attend classes everyday and some colleges says that attendance is a must. If you dont have 80% attendance they will not allow you to write exams. If you are working then it is very difficult to attend classes. Also you need to travel from your office to college and to home. you dont find time to study and also there will be lot of assignments and tests in between.

I suggest you to do lot of thinking before you join any courses. Wish you all the best.

Hi Guest,

It may not be that difficult for you to get a job in Pune to pursue higher studies, if you sincerely try. I strongly feel and suggest that you must try to obtain a BE degree . That will help you for your future growth . But it is very hard and need lot of sacrifice, but wort it. Best of luck.
