Did you try the Optrex themselves or an Importer of LCDs?

In the specification is usually written in what how the LCD communicates usually they have different options like 3 or 4 wire serial, Parallel and I2C. If that is Ok you have to check if the command set of the LCD controller are the same otherwise the driving software has to be adjusted.

LCD suppliers usually have a list of interchangeable types.

Just ask them

Hello aks,

Thank you for your reply. Is it a screen which was broken in use, or are you looking to build something?

I ask because there is similar sizes models on the Optrex site. But they are not so thick as the one you list. They are around 4mm thinner. And I have no idea what resistors was it you mentioned-come with them? I will have to look but if I sent the page, you can let me know if there is anything suitable? Have you checked the Optrex site? On a search nothing comes up. But I notice the ref' codes on the sites ended in FW and that led me to look more closely.

I have also written to a company and they are replying in about 24 hours.

Take care and have a wonderful holiday......................

Hello aks, this is my correspondence from Digi-Key yesterday, is under the double dashed lined. They had ref' to something like your code but, could not find anything and asked for time to search. Well I know they only search on their site and asked Optrex. But I checked on the Optrex site and no luck. If you can tell me more details I might be able to do a fuller search. How old in the product you want this screen for, because it may be cheaper to get a new product than get a new screen. Things are changing all the time. Every screen I saw at roughly the size (w x H) were 3 to 6 mm shallower than yours. In general terms, what is the type of device the screen came out of? If I know that I could perhaps find some maintenance company who may have a spare? Where are you based, which country and rough area please?.....I do not want to be looking in the US, if you are in Australia! Get back to me please. What searches have you done to try and find this? What product is this screen from? The exact size? How does it fit in the product? What is the largest and smallest screen that will fit? Do you need the IC's you mentioned in the first post? Can you get these IC's from another source? Does any new screen come with these IC's needed to make it work? ================================================== The correspondence from Digi-Key is below. It includes links to the Digi-Key site and tel #. Hello Q, Thank you for your patience. According to our contact at Optrex, that part is extremely old. There is no replacement or anything even close.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
