Finding a DP Transmitter

12/22/2008 12:51 AM

Dear All

I want to order an DP transmitter but I dont have its data sheet. I only know that minimum switching level required is 700 mbar and maximum switching point required is 1800 mbar. It is installed on a inlet and outlet of Air Filter. with process air as input and at output we a fan to suck the air from it.

As you have not explained the use of the DP transmitter I will have a guess. It looks like the DP Transmitter is being used to indicate the pressure drop/loss across the filter to trigger either automatic/manual cleaning process of the filter or indicate time for someone to replace the filter. You appear sure that it is a DP transmitter and not a DP Switch. If that is the case then you only have to contact a supplier of instrumentation with the info you have supplied here, they may ask a few more questions to get the item properly specified, questions like: temperature of the air, typical moisture content, supply voltage (24VDC?) and output signal (4-20mA or 1-5VDC), static pressure. You will probably find some info on the manufacturers' tag on the DP Transmitter, maybe the make and model. That then makes things easy for you.

tHIS IS THE FILTER AND DP SWITCH WHICH ACTIVATES A RELAY ( I DONT KNOW WHY) I WANT TO USE A TRANSMITTER ON IT. TELL ME IS IT FEASIBLE? SECONDLY WHAT ORDERING INFO WOULD I REQUIRE FOR ITS ORDERING?

Hi Raj

My name is Demian from Dwyer Instruments. I'm sure we can help you with your application. If you would like to give us a call to discuss this we would be more than happy to help. I would just ask you to confirm those pressure ranges though please. Could you possibly mean pascals?

1 mbar=100 pascals so you are just using different pressure standards.
