Codes for Boilers and Steam Generators

is there any difference between boiler and steam generator when applying codes

if there is ,any one can help

specially in inspection

Take it like this. A Boiler has a steam storage and a steam generator does not.A boiler will take some time to give you steam whereas a steam generator will immediately give you steam. Rest please read a book on Boiler & their types which will help you understand better.

I Rules for Construction of Power Boilers

IV Rules for Construction of Heating Boilers

VI Recommended Rules for the Care and Operation of Heating Boilers

VII Recommended Guidelines for the Care of Power Boilers

Depending on the details of your steam generator - pressure, temperature, size/capacity, stationary/portable, nuclear, locomotive, miniature, ............... - to determine the applicable ASME code;

You may also find inspection practices in API 573.

Yo entiendo una caldera puede ser hasta para suministrar agua caliente, en cambio un generador de vapor, es como el nombre lo indica genera vapor, y las presiones son distintas asi como las inspecciones y rutinas de mantenimiento,
