I once worked in a tire factory. Different parts of the finished tire had different characteristics. By combining different combinations of natural and synthetic rubber, various oils, waxes, pigments, sulphur, and assorted other chemicals you would get the desired degree of hardness or softness when the built up tire was heated in the mold and the vulcanization process took place.

Depending on how much rubber was required the machines can get very large and the actual process can get messy. If you only need to make a part for a device you are manufacturing it would probably be easier to to farm this task out. Are you prepared to handle the vulcanization process your self and do you have someone on staff who could handle the quality tests on the individual batches of rubber.

What are you planning on? Until rubber has been vulcanized (heated after the sulfur has been added) rubber will stick to itself. If you could tell me what your needs are in more detail, I could give you more information which might help you to ask more questions.

first of all, I would like to thank all who have replied for my post,

more precisely what I needed is,

before the raw rubber material gets fused/hardened I want to add some other material to it and I want to test some physical and electrical properties of that material and if the properties are satisfactory then I can use that material for my application. but the material must be very soft in nature.

So, for this how I can start with...

please reply.
