Why cTc winding is preferred ?

HI,

A couple are

Lower costs due to reduction in size;

Reduces eddy loses, Shortens machine winding times

i am pursuing engineering and working on a project smps transformer design ..

pls tell me what winding materials are used these days for such transformers..
