HI

Can we use PEEK material for pressure rings in a non lubricated reciprocating compressor.

Hello

At present how is operating this compressor? Is a not lube oil free and you intend to change it in lube oil free compressor?

Could you define all parameters of this compressor ( number of stage, stroke, RPM, suction and discharge pressure, suction and discharge temperature, handled fluid, etc. ).

hello

This compressor is oil free now.

Number of stage is 4,rpm490,suc&dis pressure is 24.24&59.58 in 4th stage,temp in 4th stage is38c in suc and 116c in dis at normal condition but we have upper temp in actual condition its 125-150c.

Handled gas is hydrogen.Purity is 83.6% other components are:water,hydrogen sulfide,methan,ethan,propane,n-butane,n-pentane&hexane.

Thanks for details. At present what type of material are you using for piston ring and guide rings? Have you an interstage cooler?

Hello

we are using carbon filled PTFE now for both piston&rider rings,in 4th stage wear of piston&rider rings is too high and the life of them is too low (about 1000Hr).

There is interstage cooler between each stage.

PEEK material could be used for your operating condition, also I recommend you DURA WEAR material made by Hoerbiger. At your disposal fore more information.
