01/10/2009 9:22 AM

Where is the place (University) where magnetic and gravitational transportation systems are being researched?

you will probably find these subjects studied in diffrent facilities.

Gravity being a weak universal force that we cannot make but we can observe and measureobjects in paths under gravitational influence. Often called celestial mechanics.

Magnetism is far far stronger, we can make and measure. Used in motors, both linear and rotary. Both studied in electrical engineering schools

Oh, come now, Aurizon, you're holding back: "You will probably find these subjects studied in different facilities."

Aren't you gonna say anything about Star Fleet Academy?

I look at the phrasing of the initial inquiry and assess i, more or less. Is it a serious student? or is i someone on the edge of being suckered by some 'free energy' scam or?

So I try to craft a general beginners answer to anticipate whatever he/she may be.

Where such systems exist is probably near the study. I thought they had some fast maglev trains in Japan? Around where I live in North Carolina, for engineering NC State and A&T are good schools. Of course in the country of the US MIT has been of good reputation. I can't give you a name of a school in Japan, but do suspect that they have worked on it.

There have been many attempts at viable maglev, mostly with special halbach magnet arrays, but it still eludes us as economically viable.

Explore these for loads of data
