The application wise or the chemicals ?

Check the following sites

http://www.epm.com/faq.html

I think it will answer your question.

The seal selction is based on your applcation.

and since all these elastomers are proprietory of Dupont why don;t you just check their site

http://www.dupontelastomers.com/Header/index.asp

you will have much more information there than I can provide in this forum (any way we are here practicing professionals). If you write to dupont, they usually help in selecting the best one - Though in our practice we have gone ahead with our applicationa nd fluid and selected based on the data available in dupont site.

The problems faced by nitrile is their storage property and not much friendly to Oxygen/ humid atmosphere especially when idle.

Viton is good in this, but again depending on the process of manufacture. based on the process of mixing and adding the filler etc, we have faced some times problem with few of the seals supplied to us.

(Dupont only supplies the raw materials - virgin) these are mixed and processed by the seal manufacturer. The processing/ mixing ratio/ process parameters if not strictly adhered to may have a non performing viton seals.
