Valve MOC Shall has to be same as the Piping material Or Better .

You may find all the relevant Information LiKe PT Rating/ Material of Construction like CS /Nace Compliance Etc bY Having a look at line Class Designation Table or Piping Spces .

Based on Which you Prepare Your ISS ,Packing etc shall be dependent on Temperature as the main factor ,Teflon I think till 450 F

Thers a good book by Emerson Fisher , Some1 Already posted the link , You may refer for further Info

Hi all,

MOC - Material of construction.

You need to know the process medium you are dealing with as well as the process operating data. From there you can consult a valve manufacturer. You can also look in various valve hand books to reference the relevant tables for your process criteria - but your valve supplier will have to verify this.

As stated above - the valve moc should be the same as the piping material or better.

This might not be true as you have to take into account the process data as the valve causes a restriction. Your valve body might end up being cast iron - but with titanium lining and ball and seat. Try get the fischer control valve handbook - freely downloadable and it will explain many of these answers for you.

Regards,

Craig
