What is a difference between MCC and Switchgear?

In North America, MCCs are primarily for motor loads, but you can have feeders in them, Switchgear is primarily for feeder circuits. You can theoretically add motor controllers to low voltage Switchgear, but you may have trouble with UL. In Medium VOltage however, UL only recognizes Switchgear, so all MV MCCs are technically Switchgear anyway.
