RFID Bolsters Troop Support

10/31/2006 9:33 AM

The U.S. Department of Defense continues to require the use of RFID technology for the delivery of products that support troops in the field. By the beginning of January, 2007, the DoD will require manufacturers and suppliers to use RFID tags on all shipments. To help suppliers meet DoD requirements (link no longer available; original posting could be previously found at alientechnology.com), one company now offers a kit consisting of RFID readers, antennas, and tags, along with training, services, and other information.
