Frogive me if I ask a question without answering your question, but, I'm really keen to meet whomever your money people are.

I'm really anxious to strat a corporation and make lots of money in a field about which I know absolutely nothing.

Unless you are the government of the country in which you reside, I suggest you contact someone in that organization as they would be most likely to know how to get your new corporation in the black.

First would like to know what an RTD is that I might be able to manufacture and distribute some of them.

RTD Resistance Temperature Detector) elements comes in different flavor and quality.

Most reliable is based on platinum but cheap ones based on copper and nickel is also in the market.

I have seen used as low as subzero and and as high as 1000C. This is commodity item and like any other you need to find the laws based on targeted market in USA if you want to make for pace maker you need to have Federal drug agency approval and if it is for computer than you need qualification from Dell or IBM .

Your question is to broad like central Government officers (Indian Administrative Officers) thinks on a cup of tea. or your financier have lot of money. One of my friend in India has company who makes adhesive for these type of materials which is based on copper , silver, gold and platinum for attachment of chips in the RDT device. The product marketing is targeted to region and meeting that region quality and usability needs. Needs for India when I go business to India is different than china and USA and is same for product usability standard and needs and its qualifications.

I hope you did your homework to minimize risk...there will always be those that do nothing but criticize.

Look at MIL-STD-810/RTCA DO-160 and it will provide some guidance on test instrument requirements (tolerance & stability).

Calibrate sensors (such as RTD) per ANSI NCSL Z540-1 or ISO 10012-1

you can get these documents from American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

I have read this post several times and can't seem to get a grasp on it. I mean it sounds strange that someone would start a corporation without knowing a little more of the basics about what they intend on making. I hope I am missing something here and this is not the normal way companies decide on what things to manufacture. If I am wrong then I really screwed up by waiting to start my corporation after spending 20 years learning how to weld and fit the things we manufacture.
