We have a 1700 cfm desiccant dryer . It was running at -fifty five c. We changed desiccant and now getting only -thirty c. It is feed with 2 900cfm compressors with afters coolers
Welcome to the list. It sounds like your desiccant was not fully dried prior to installation. If it is a pressure swing type drier (self regenerating) I would recommend that you run with just a very low flow (less than 1 cfm) for a day or so. This will fully dry the desiccant, and should then be able to go back to full flow.
If it is strictly just a desiccant bed (no regeneration), you will have to bake out the desiccant.
As the other post says, a heated regeneration may be your best bet to improve the performance of the dryer. Is there any possibility that you crushed the media during loading, or perhaps got liquids in the bed?
