1998 Dodge Cummins Ram with 212,000 miles. 4 year old batteries developed significant corrosion over the last 90 days and then died. Replaced with new batteries 1 week ago and they died too just setting in the truck. Jump starting would get the truck running, but then it would die. The dash lights won't come on other than the warning lights and the radio won't come on. I'm suspecting that the alternator has a diode problem and is draining the battery instead of charging it. What are your thoughts? Would that also prevent the dash lights from working? The odometer is flashing also.
Thanks,
