What do you mean by power up and no response?

Is it not responding when you hit the power button?

Or is it not loading windows?

Most likely then your power supply is bad.

I've had this problem on a desktop, I hit the power button and got no response whatsoever. After changing out the power supply, everything worked great. If you are a DIY'er then try seeing if you got power out of the leads from the power supply. Usually if a power supply goes bad, all the leads don't go bad, just a few of them.

Else take it to a repair store and get charged up the wazoooo. Power supplies are cheap but labor isn't....
