windows xp theme problem

my friend has just uninstalled a theme but after uninstallation icons are as it as was in theme. means he got the same icons after removal of theme. now he does not want to have that previous theme's icon.. what to do?

I am pretty sure icons are unrelated to xp themes. So changing the theme will not touch your icons. That is a separate tweak.

I've modified xp quite a bit and haven't seen anything that modifies icons.
