PP Plastic Cups

02/03/2009 11:05 PM

Can PP plastic cups be washed and used as is?

1 item for our product is the use of pp plastic cups. some plastic cups were just exposed to the store (unused) and returned to the plant as "pull - out".

we encountered large quantity of "pull out", can we just washed the cups and re-issue it to the store?

is it safe?

just in case, on what water solution i will be needing in washing those cups.

"Can PP plastic cups be washed and reused as is?"

Depends which PP you're referring to. Cup, or contents.

Depends which country you're in.

Depends if your country inspects for such things.

Depends.........................

Generally speaking yes, if the cups have not been used to store anything hazardous. Plain soap and water should be sufficient.

as of now, we are using a chlorine solution for washing of our unused pp plastic cups.

the ratio is 1gram chlorine : 1 kilo gram of distilled water.

is it safe enough?

we rinsed it twice with distilled water as to remove properly the odor of chlorine.
