Dears,

What are the functions of a Maintenance Planner and a Scheduler?

Thanks All

Well speaking from my experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or since I do alot more I think of myself as a MRO, Maintenance, Repair and Operations person. A Maintenance Planner and Scheduler would look at the equipment and facility to determine what scheduled maintenance needs to occur and when. He/she would then need to determine what will be performed in-house by staff and what would need to be done by outside contractors/technicians. Then he would schedule the work to be done, contact the appropriate person(s) and follow up to make sure the work was done. This person would use a computer program to perform these tasks. I utilize MP2 for my work.
