The chip is most likely OK but I have to do some back-tracking to figure out what's wrong with this CNC monitor.

Can you tell us which company made this chip?

I have lots of old data books but I could spend all day going thru them and not find it if I don't know where to start

monitor fixed, a handfull of dry caps and one res. going from 2.2 to 18ohms.

I did replied to the last post (at least I thought I did) with resolution and the name of the IC maker- toshiba,
