i need to write an assignment on monolithic op-amp.....i'll be very thankful if u can just send me some related queries on what is mean by a monolithic op-amp and why is it so called?
Monolithic merely means that it is an integrated circuit on one silicon substrate. Op-amps were made with discrete components back before integrated circuits were invented, and ditto for a good while after they were. (Kinda like vacuum tube circuits were still being designed after the invention of transistors.)
