What 's different between St 37 & RSt 37 ?

Can you discribe each letter of S235??? what's meaning ?

Hello mehdi_ohadi,

St37 and RSt37 are old DIN standard designations for plain carbon steel with a rough tensile strength of 420 MPa. The "R" stands for killed steel (RR stands for specially killed, U for rimming steel...)

S235 is a partial designation of a similar plain carbon steel according to EN 10025-2.

It's a Structural steel with nominal yield strength of 235 MPa (for t< 16 mm).
