couple of questions:

1. what kind of cctv camera do you have digital or analog?

2. are you connecting to a TV set or cctv monitor?

3. are you interested in recording the image?

4. is it 1 or more cameras? this makes huge difference. more then one camera and just one monitor will require a multiplexer.

you can purchase fairly inexpensive cctv systems from thousends of security dealers on the internet, however ask yourself the following:

does the quality of video matter to you?

how many cameras will be connected?

how about the future, will you need to connect more cameras?

what kind of cables to you have for the cameras? coax or cat-5?

and the most important are you going to be recording those cameras?

If yes then:

How long do you want to retain your video?

and how many cameras will you record?
