Source for Cores - PVC SDR 32.5

02/16/2009 1:01 AM

I am looking to find either a supplier of PVC SDR 32.5 on the east coast (Pittsburgh area) or a product that has similar Inside Diameter measurements as the 32.5. The use is as support for filter cartridges. So I would be punching or drilling the PVC or if a supplier is available that can make something similar in the ID and OD but with hole or preform it would be better. Material can range. Polypro etc as long as it has rigidity so cores don't crush. I typically order in the 5,000 - 10.000 ft per month but would order more if needed.

Thanks for the post. I had previously spent days on google and the phone tracking down all the leads. JM actually has a plant 15 miles from me but doesn't produce on east coast. Normal response is west coast plants can make but must be trucked the thousands of miles back. So we would be looking at 70,000 feet. I finally found one that would ship molds to an east coast plant, but needs to be produced in truckload quantities. Found a potential in Poly Pro but unreasonable pricing ($3.50/lb). Plan now to have mold developed and have the parts injected vs buying PVC pile (which I can't find in reasonable quantity) and machining. Since pricing is so high on others I may go ahead and market to others.

If any other ideas are out there please let me know. Many Thanks.
