Alternative to AQ 50 Steel

Dear all.

We are working in a project for steelmill expansion www.ahmsa.com . We are fabricating some MOLD COVERS those pieces need some AQ 50 STEELGRATE like anchors for ceramic concrete,the STEELGRATE goes tack welded on the floor. I have gotten a lot of troubles ´cause we dont know what is the american equivalent. It would be good if somebody could explain what kind of steelgrate we can install instead of AQ50.

What country did the engineering callout?

I am not finding AQ50 in any of my databases.

China has some Q grades, but I'm not finding AQ50.

In US usage AQ typically means Aircraft quality, Hardly applicable for this application to my mind, nor am i aware of aircrafy quality grating...

Frankly I'd go back to the engineers for clarification, Israel.

ALso ask them does the 50refer to tensile or yield strength, That may help us find applicable standard.

I've given it a pretty good shot.

AQ50 is a german type of steelgrate, but at this time we dont know what kind of american grade we can install instead of AQ50.

I think it's gonna work. Tomorrow in the morning , my crew will review the technical article to determine, that the steelgrate AQ50 is a wiremesh, one of those used in the civil construction and trying to find some local supplier. I really appreciate your help and support.
