I don't understand your question, sunil mach07. Are you wondering which political science course to take? Here in the States, colleges and universities typically have an introductory-level course with a numeric designation of "101". If you trying to fulfill a graduation requirement for a non-engineering course, such a course may meet your needs.

Hi sunil,

When you decided to join for Political Science in plus 1 what was your future plan. For selecting the subject for your graduation you must first decide your future plan as to what do you want to become in future. There are many options. Depending on weather you want to go for future studies for post graduation in political science ( MA or M Phil) or going for other fields in journalism , political research, active poetical life, or to join administrative service or Armed forces( Army /Navy/ Air force)

The University of Pune offer MA and M Phil courses in Political Science details of which you can get from official web site of UOP Other Universities in India are also offering similar courses . The subjects to study for MA (Political Science) you can see from link below.

http://www.unipune.ernet.in/dept/politics/MACourseSyllabus.html

So first you decide about your future plan and depending on that you can select the branch to join for graduation.

I guess you deserve a GA for that, Abraham, being familiar with the Indian educational system.

I'm just a bit uncomfortable at the thought of not having a future plan for my life and having to ask somebody else what I should do with my life, as what OP is experiencing.

Hi langyaw,

You have rightly advised sunil. There are two types of system of society exists Developed country and developing country. Planning of future of students of these societies differ and depends on where one belong .

In developing countries a student can select any stream of study depends on his taste, liking, aptitude and heights to which one want to grow. It is because in those welfare states one does not have to worry much about food shelter and family responsibility. He is free to take decision about his future.

In developing countries things are different. One has to depend their parents to complete their studies and once education is completed he need to get a job by which he can sustain himself and also help his family members as his parents may not be able to able to support themselves. So a lot of responsibility is attached with his future decision. So he has to select a stream of study, which he can earn him a decent living. Even after having good talent in music, painting fine arts he cannot peruse a study or select that stream because future may not be rewarding unless you are having exceptional luck and caliber. So your decision will depend on circumstances and financial soundness of the family.

Dear Sunil,

The more important thing, I guess, is to first ask yourself: "What is it that I would love to do productively for the rest of my life?"

List up to 5 things, and prioritize them. Then ask if yourself again if your current course would help you achieve your objective. If so, pursue it with vigor. Otherwise, shift to the course that will help you reach your goal.

If after doing this you are still undecided on how to proceed with your studies, please ask your parents. They know you, and would have a good idea of what fits your character and attitude.
