can you tell me difference between AC3 & AC1 duty contactor

The utilisation categories for contactors/ starters is defined for the type of load the contactor/ starter is going to feed.

Utilisation Category AC-1 is used for non-inductive or slightly inductive loads, eg resistance furnaces

Utilisation Category AC-3 is used for squirrel cage induction motors with duty cycle of starting, switching off the motors when running (it does not involve plugging and inching operation)
