It all depends on what you want to put in it? If it is for cabling what sizes and quantities? If there are going to be conduits, what sizes? You need to provide more information than that.

In addition to the above, it's got to be big enough for someone to get in and fix/service those cables while the duct is at design capacity.

guest; if your using oil filled transformers, it should be big enough to contain the oil in the room with out spilling into other areas. perry
