Cyclone Separator Cone and Shell Wall Thickness

03/03/2009 8:51 PM

Dear all,

Would someone guide me on how to calculate the wall thickness of cyclone separator cone and shell using ASME VIII div. 1. The material for the vessel is SA 516 70N. I've read through the standard but it confusing me since this is my first time doing this. Appreciate all help.

Thanks

Have you reviewed, in detail, the following sections?:

  • Mandatory Appendix 1-4 & 1-5
  • Non-Mandatory Appendix L-2.3
  • Section UG-32 (g) & (h)

It is pretty well laid out, especially in the appendices.
