Wanted: Equipment for Seaming Plastic Film

We need to seam one plastic film to another, without air leaks, what is the quickest and least expensive way to way to do it? If the seams are not straight lines, does that change the answer?

Who are the equipment suppliers for this business?

Depends on the type of film. Some types heat seal very nicely, others, not at all.

I'd start with the simple bag making machine using teflon covered heated strip.

Seems like I've seen heated wheels for this purpose, too.

It's a different world if your film isn't thermoplastic.

pool liner manufacturers do this all the time with flexible vinyl film - there are hot air sealers and IR sealers -
